I guess I don’t have much to say on this one, either. It was cute. And forgettable. And, at some points, incredibly obnoxious. I suppose that when your first effort is as exceptionally well regarded as Brick, it’s hard to follow.

i found this to be resemblant to Godard’s ‘Band of Outsiders’ – very light-minded and very enjoyable. Rachel Weisz’s prodigal, quirky role made this more than worth it for me. I wasn’t a fan of Brick, despite its bold and original attempt at 50s noir anachronisms, but i loved Brothers Bloom. this may be blasphemy.
